In painting this light colored pet in watercolor, the figure was left almost unpainted, with much of white paper being untouched. Dabs of soft colors define the form & the painting's background became an integral element. The goal in this watercolor, for me, was to highlight her round eyes and energetic spirit of this rescue dog!
